                 SPEECH ON RIGHTS AND DUTIES  ( कर्तव्य और अधिकार)

As we are a human being, we have lots of responsibilities for the development as well as brings welfare and peace in the society and country.
To fulfill our duties, we have given some rights by the constitution of India.
There are around six fundamental rights of India citizens:-
1. Right to Freedom
2. Right to Freedom of religion
3. Right to Equality
4. Right to Education and Culture
5. Right against Exploitation
6. Right to Constitutional Remedies

Without these rights, no one can live democratically. This means democracy in the country can work only if its citizens have rights.
These rights differ democracy from autocracy and cruelness
In case of violations of rights of someone, courts can protect and safeguard them.

There were no fundamental duties preserved in the constitution of India when it came into force in 1950. However, Ten fundamental duties were added in the 42nd amendment of the constitution of India in1976.

Rights and Duties are called the two sides of the same coin and one can't exist without others because duties without rights are mere slavery, Similarly, rights without duties amount to lawlessness.
In today's world, Everybody talks much about his rights But nobody seems to be bothered much about his duties. That's why there is great unrest in our present-day life.
Also many a time, one man's rights is another man's duty and vice versa.
For instance, every man has the right to have an undisturbed sleep. So it becomes the duty of his neighbor not to tune his speaker at too high a pitch.
So if we want to enjoy our rights, then we should act in such a way that the rights of others have not trespassed.

So at last, I would like to say that rights and duties are complementary things and not contradictory.
